Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has encouraged Chelsea’s young players to stay in the first team but has not ruled out a loan move for Spanish striker Marc Guiu in January.
The FA Cup third round tie against Morecambe next month looks like an obvious opportunity, but how much Maresca rotates in the competition beyond that will depend on the Blues’ progress and the draw.
There have already been reports of loan interest in Guiu in the teenager’s homeland and Chelsea may soon have a decision to make over how his development is best served in the second half of the campaign.
“I think having young players like Marc (Guiu), Josh (Acheampong), Ty (Tyrick George), for me the best thing for them is to stay with us,” Maresca said.
“They understand every day how we want to play. They can grow. We can teach them how we want them to play. So I think it’s better if they stay with us.”
“Then it also depends on the UFABET needs of the player. If in this case Marc needs more minutes and more games, then we will sit down with him and make a decision together.”
For 18-year-old Kiew, who moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer for €6m, he has scored six goals in six Conference League appearances, most notably a hat-trick in the latest 5-1 rout of Shamrock Rovers.
